Kinfolk Magazine has been on my radar for quite some time now. It’s a really nicely laid-out magazine which highlights small gatherings around a table through aesthetics, photography, literature and an appreciation for good design. The concept is really interesting in principal, and even better when executed by Kinfolk’s team of editors. They break the publication down into sections including ‘for one’ ‘for two’ and ‘for a few.’ Each section features photo essays, occasional recipes, short fiction, essay features and other changing features by issue. They’ve recently sent their fourth issue to publishers and it should be emerging in the coming days. It will be available at Mr Lee’s General Store, Marche St George and Old Faithful Shop here in Vancouver as well as online through the Kinfolk Magazine site.
