Unbeknownst to me until now (I’ve apparently arrived quite late to the party because they’re really well publicized and stocked), is one of the more interesting handkerchief brands I’ve stumbled accross – the aptly named Hav-a-Hank. They’re available in a couple of different sizes so you can easily transition from pocket square to handkerchief within the brand and they’re patterned with traditional American bandana print throughout. They also come in a wide variety of colours, so you’ll likely be able to pick one up in whatever color you choose. What drew me to them though – given that I don’t often wear handkerchiefs or pocket squares – is the amazing packaging Hav-a-Hank uses. Each handkerchief is individually wrapped in a slim cardboard container that would look very much at home on the shelf of an old-school general store (think Mr Lee’s, sniff sniff). Each package is an aged looking yellow, with well chosen typography and a handy sticker to demonstrate the color of the handkerchief within. Plus they’re kind enough to let you know that each is sanitarily packaged – always a bonus. They’re available for $15 each which isn’t too bad considering the prices on some handkerchiefs out there.
