Ritchey 2013 Road Logic

Having endured a septimană horribilis at the end of last summer which included – among other unfortunate events – the theft of my road bike, I’ve been on the look out for a replacement. Specifically, a elegant, modern steel frame. Marinoni’s gorgeous Piuma framesets remain a serious contender but the Ritchey Road Logic currently leads the pack. Designed by Tom Ritchey himself, the Road Logic features a light but strong heat-treated and triple-butted frame with a perfect geometry for long days in the saddle. The styling is understated and will complement similarly simple parts. The quality of the frame is matched by the Ritchey full carbon fork and together the frame and fork weigh in at 3.9lbs. There is, of course, a significant price tag associated with all of this quality: the fork and frame together will set you back $1,300. However, for the quality of ride, elegance, and durability you can expect from a Ritchey frame, it is a sensible investment. As the weather improves, it will become hard not to be make that investment myself. You can buy the frameset directly from Ritchey or from your local Ritchey dealer. See you on the road!
